About a year ago the boys at 801 Racing came to us with a badass product and a dream. They make solid rocket fuel tablets that you put in your gas tank to give you extra horsepower. The best part is this stuff REALLY works. We happen to like going fast pretty much more than anything, so we promised to hook them up proper like. We started with nothing and carved out a brand we are hella proud of. From logos, to apparel, to a full advertising campaign, to drag car wraps, to fire suit designs, to websites, to apps, to packaging, to shoots with the infamous photog Steve Stone, to hooking them up with our homies at Nirto Circus, we’ve been hard at work launching this new school racing lifestyle brand. We couldn’t be happier with how things have gone. They’ve even expanded from one product to an entire line of car pimping awesomeness. It’s not every day you find a client as cool or as trusting as 801 Racing. We count ourselves lucky to have them as clients and friends. Look for more craziness from 801 Racing to drop soon. We’re about to open this B up.

How The Klepto Stole Christmas.

Not to brag or anything, but we created the greatest Christmas cards of all-time. After making our list and checking it twice, we handed them off to our Producer extraordinaire Melissa “Beef Jerky” Crespo. On her way to the Post Office to drop some holiday cheer on our friends across the globe, Mel was beckoned by the siren song of a William-Sonoma sale at the mall, so she popped in to swoop up the wine aerator she’s had her lushy eyes on. Little did she know, while perusing the isles a crack head was pillaging her car in the parking lot. While we’re flattered that the dirtbag robber liked our cards so much that he took all 500 of them, we’re also super bummed the World will never get to see them in all of their glorious glory. Maybe we’ll roll them out next year.

BRANDING REAL BIG

We reached back into our archives and pulled out some of our favorite logos and lockups we’ve cranked out for our clients, which range from snowboard industry behemoths to startup law firms. These executions are neither scrap nor exploration, but are living and breathing on letterheads, T-shirts, skis, helmets, boots, bindings, bikes and business cards scattered all around the globe. Here at STS we do a lot of things, but boiling down a brand to its visual essence might just be what we do best.

STS + Contour

All last month was all hands on deck here at STS HQ as we pitched for Contour’s business. The late nights and weekends paid-off proper when we were given the nod for our “It’s On” campaign. We’re stoked to work with a company that syncs up so tightly with our own style and attitude. Currently we’re in the middle of helping launch their new kick-ass ContourROAM camera that’s already taking the action sports world by storm. It’s tough, compact, waterproof out of the box and has a killer single switch recording system, which makes it ridiculously simple to capture all of your insane antics in jaw dropping HD. Keep your eyes peeled for all the rad new Contour work that’s set to drop in Transworld and pretty much every other action sports mag on the planet. This is going to be a good time.

Man Machine

We just brought a new man-vention screaming into the world that’s more badass than nunchucks, Gold Bond Medicated Powder and the kegerator combined. It’s called the Blacktop 360. If you’re the type who’s into tailgating and cooking meats outside, this will change your damn life. It’s got a deep fryer, infrared grill, griddle and warmer, and all in one slick portable setup. To push things out proper like, we whipped up a website, two mobile sites, four webisodes and perhaps the most ridiculous product tech spec spot you’ll ever lay your peepers on. We’ll be releasing more craziness in the next few weeks involving hot air balloons, bikini clad chicks with machine guns, meat sweats, cobra blood and riot police. Brace yourselves–it’s going to get nuts up in here. Do yourself a solid and go pick one up at Sports Authority or any other store where dude stuff is sold. Big ups to Bravo Sports for creating something so rad and having the huevos to do good work.

Official test of the STS party system

So we had a test party last week for all of our OR peeps. Filled a couple kitty pools full of booze, bought out a taco stand and hired a DJ. Then we threw open the garage door and waited to see what happened. Long story short, shit popped off proper like and the melee spilled out into the streets. We forcibly shut things down around 3am and called an armada of cabs to haul our hard partying friends home. We officially declare this test party a success and are currently planning something that is sure to bring the riot police. Thanks to Planet Gear Discrete Headwear and Outdoor Utah Adventure Journal for throwing down with us. Good times.
