About a year ago the boys at 801 Racing came to us with a badass product and a dream. They make solid rocket fuel tablets that you put in your gas tank to give you extra horsepower. The best part is this stuff REALLY works. We happen to like going fast pretty much more than anything, so we promised to hook them up proper like. We started with nothing and carved out a brand we are hella proud of. From logos, to apparel, to a full advertising campaign, to drag car wraps, to fire suit designs, to websites, to apps, to packaging, to shoots with the infamous photog Steve Stone, to hooking them up with our homies at Nirto Circus, we’ve been hard at work launching this new school racing lifestyle brand. We couldn’t be happier with how things have gone. They’ve even expanded from one product to an entire line of car pimping awesomeness. It’s not every day you find a client as cool or as trusting as 801 Racing. We count ourselves lucky to have them as clients and friends. Look for more craziness from 801 Racing to drop soon. We’re about to open this B up.

Our BFFs at Ski Utah hit us up to rehaul their mobile app and drop some sexiness on it. We started by adding more user interactivity and a fresh coat of hot design. One of the new highlights is a Stats page where peeps can set goals for the season, keep track of how many days they’ve bombed at which mountains and share their conquests online. The more you check in the more custom badges you earn and the higher your rank goes.
We also did up some Skiosks that will live in Hotel lobbies where guests can quickly check out weather reports, mountain cams, photos and videos from all the different Utah resorts.
Do yourself a favor and snag it from the app store and start crushing some pow. If you’re of the Droid persuasion we did a version for you too that should be live real quick like. (more…)
We’re just now shaking off the haze from another party packed week of SIA where we again proudly witnessed a few of our brain children come screaming into the world. We’ve been carrying these projects for the last year and a half, so it’s nice to see them finally pushed out for the world to see. This year’s liter consisted of a gaggle of Rossignol, Atomic, Morrow and 5150 boards, K2 helmets and bindings, some Line Skis, and an iPad catalogue app for Contour cameras. All in all not a bad brood. Typical of new parents we snapped off a ton pics. Here’s a sneak peak to wet your whistle until they drop in your local shops this fall. (more…)
We reached back into our archives and pulled out some of our favorite logos and lockups we’ve cranked out for our clients, which range from snowboard industry behemoths to startup law firms. These executions are neither scrap nor exploration, but are living and breathing on letterheads, T-shirts, skis, helmets, boots, bindings, bikes and business cards scattered all around the globe. We love art. It’s the pulsating heart that pumps inspiration into everything we do, so when our friends at TBWA\Chiat\Day asked us to team up to build a site for Pacific Standard Time, sponsored by the Getty, we were amped. Pacific Standard Time is a totally unique collab between more than 60 cultural institutions across SoCal celebrating the birth of the L.A. art scene. The mission of the site and ongoing festival is to expose the community to every major art movement that popped up from 1945 to 1980 in and around L.A. and demonstrate how this explosive era of art impacted the World. All last month was all hands on deck here at STS HQ as we pitched for Contour’s business. The late nights and weekends paid-off proper when we were given the nod for our “It’s On” campaign. We’re stoked to work with a company that syncs up so tightly with our own style and attitude. Currently we’re in the middle of helping launch their new kick-ass ContourROAM camera that’s already taking the action sports world by storm. It’s tough, compact, waterproof out of the box and has a killer single switch recording system, which makes it ridiculously simple to capture all of your insane antics in jaw dropping HD. Keep your eyes peeled for all the rad new Contour work that’s set to drop in Transworld and pretty much every other action sports mag on the planet. This is going to be a good time.
