We just brought a new man-vention screaming into the world that’s more badass than nunchucks, Gold Bond Medicated Powder and the kegerator combined. It’s called the Blacktop 360. If you’re the type who’s into tailgating and cooking meats outside, this will change your damn life. It’s got a deep fryer, infrared grill, griddle and warmer, and all in one slick portable setup. To push things out proper like, we whipped up a website, two mobile sites, four webisodes and perhaps the most ridiculous product tech spec spot you’ll ever lay your peepers on. We’ll be releasing more craziness in the next few weeks involving hot air balloons, bikini clad chicks with machine guns, meat sweats, cobra blood and riot police. Brace yourselves–it’s going to get nuts up in here. Do yourself a solid and go pick one up at Sports Authority or any other store where dude stuff is sold. Big ups to Bravo Sports for creating something so rad and having the huevos to do good work.

Burton just dropped their new winter line at board shops errrywhere accompanied by a bad ass teaser campaign that led up to the unveiling of their new hotness. They tapped us in to do up a Facebook app to spread the good word and hype their live broadcast on the night of the big reveal. We were stoked how it turned out and glad to being doing more biz with the granddaddy of snowboarding.
We like hood rat street things. So when we heard Rob Dyrdek and DC Shoes were putting together their own street skate series we were jazzed. When we were asked to do up the Street League Facebook app, that jazzed feeling shot straight from our core down into our fingertips. And that’s when it happened. We all broke out in spontaneous jazz hands. It was embarrassing.
If you have a steady job like we do and can’t trip around the country taking in all of Street League’s gnarly glory, this app is for you. Just jump on the Facebook and watch it all go down LIVE from every stop on the tour. Peep facebook.com/streetleague to catch every second of the ridiculousness. Big ups to our boys at MSI and DC for making this happen.
The planets finally aligned and we got the chance to work with the granddaddy of snowboarding. We teamed up with our good friends at MSI to make a sick Burton app for Nokia to stoke out a worldwide audience. We first wrote and launched it for the Nokia on the WRT platform. Then we did an iPhone version, which is currently being routed through Burton and should be in the app sore soon. We’re also hooking it up for Android. The LiftLine.tv app basically turns your smart phone into a virtual TV where you can watch multiple Burton channels chuck full of sweet streaming content. The backend CMS allows Burton to upload limitless amounts of videos and even channels on the fly, which are automatically synced with the Level 3 network and streamed seamlessly through the app. The iPhone version lets you pick and choose your favorite content and even create your own network. This was a beast to get done but we’re beyond stoked how it turned out. Working with Burton is a rare privilege not many peeps get. We can’t wait for the next time.
We teamed up with the fine folks at Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners to make some sweet sweet magic for Mini. They handed over the concept and some tight comps and we were off to the races. The first step and probably the hardest was casting the perfect lady bum. That’s a very subjective subject we learned. Next we did a shoot of the glorious derriere swaying back and forth on a green screen. Then we rendered it all out in 3D so users could make the caboose grow to Kardashian proportions with a slider. When the ass gets too much for the jeans to handle, it morphs into the back of a Clubman and peels off screen and then whips back in. We also did the sound design, coded the flash transitions and modeled the entire car in 3D. When people think banners they think boring. We believe banners can and should be fun and offer this piece up as Exhibit A in their defense. Give it a clickety clack and see what’s up. (more…)
