The Art Institute wanted to feature some of our work in their lobby so we sent them a schload of boards. They look much better like this than stacked in the corners of our office 50 deep. We should probably hang them up on our walls but that would mean taking down our dream catcher collection. And that is not an option. We have ridiculous dreams that need catching and nothing does that like circular Navajo webs of twine and feathers from the finest of truck stops.

Shawn LeBoutillier, our dearly departed intern, was tragically ripped from us by Delta Airlines flight 4456 and the idealistic need to finish school and get a degree. We will fondly remember this fair lad with bright eyes and split ends who shunned motorized vehicles and skated everywhere like an extreme Mennonite. While he was with us he cranked out some hot snowboards, killer logos and an STS video that we can’t wait to unleash on the world. When young Shawn wasn’t making magically delicious designs he was on the couch watching Murder She Wrote marathons and eating microwave burritos off his chest. We thought it was strange that he wore a beanie all through the summer. We suspect he was either trying to save money on shampoo or hiding a massive head wound. He will always hold a special place in our hearts as our favorite intern and the guy who most looks like Macho Man Randy Savage after being trapped in a body cast for 7 years and having his physique ravaged by atrophy. We will miss you young Shawn. If Lynn ever lets you drop out of school we’ve got a place in the crew with your name on it.

The most handsome of the STS crew was snapped by the paparazzi frolicking with his lady friends at a water park. That’s right, a water park. Remember when your mom used to drop you off there in the summer when you were 12. Jordy is still a youngin’ so we’re going to let it slide (no pun intended). If any other member of the crew got their picture in the paper at a water park we would openly tease them until they cried. Then we would apologize. Then tease them for crying.

To make sure our testosterone levels weren’t slipping we all peaced out of work and took a dude day. We started off bright and early and swooped up 18 energy drinks on our way to the skate park. Once we were properly caffeinated old man Jared proceeded to show the young pups how it’s done. Somehow our ollie contest ended in a 7-way tie. Then we hit the lake for some epic wakeboarding and fist pumping.  After getting enough sun to make us paranoid about melanoma, we headed in. Next we hooked up some serious BBQ action and chowed down on a cornucopia of meats while watching violent movies. We officially declare man-day a success. Now we won’t feel guilty anymore for using a loofah or sweet smelling soaps.
